BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 500-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 7.89 g, 3 h). ϘΡΟ-ΤΟΝ Tripod with three ring handles and legs ending in lion's paws. Rev. Incuse eagle flying right; around, rayed border. Attianese 14 (same dies). Gorini 7. HN Italy 2095. McClean 1662 and pl. 53, 1 (same dies). Attractively toned and very well centered on a broad flan. Very light porosity, otherwise, good very fine.

From an old British collection, privately acquired from Leu in 1969.
